June, 2020
Our conversation with Robert Glasser & Justin Leonard was packed with information about what we need to think about in Australia as we face a warming and drying climate. Here's our key messages, and links to more information.

Key Messages:
2.2 million Australians living at high risk of bushfire
We'll experience Increases in scale and frequency of risks
Unprecedented scale, even for traditional owners
We're on an irreversible path to 1.5 degrees warming, 2-3 degrees warming is catastrophic
Be Proactive, If we wait for disasters, it's too late
Motivate, mobilise people to act
People now need to take personal responsibility - adults and children
Many low tech solutions available
We're taught to fear fire, be concerned and nervous. This sets up a barrier to resilience
Individual knowledge and understanding is the most important to making good decisions in an emergency.
We need deep understanding and commitment by individuals
And many enlightened individuals that become highly interactive and share their knowledge and understandings with the broader community - for community adaptation.
Community become a support network in a bushfire event
Collective conversations to consider the surrounding bush, values, amenity, .. Conversations at the community level, most effective way to solve the issues.
